Cloud Castle Series

The sheer amount of incompetence in the title screen alone makes me want to cry.Halfway tempted to just replace all the cloud stuff with a photo taken out my window. IT WOULD BE BETTERThe village is nice.

Cloud Castle

Original description

Dink has become the owner of an estate on a far-off continent. Following a spate of kidnappings, Dink travels to Cloud Castle in search of answers.

Accurate description

Dink Smallwood has been given a cosy estate for some reason. There are monsters for some reason. He must save the girl for some reason. Warning - features quite possibly the stupidest difficulty curve ever created.

Notes

I didn't have much involvement in this, for the most part, however I did create (some of? most of?) the bosses, balance the game, edit some of the dialogue and try and make it into a story. As these are probably the module's biggest failings, I should probably have kept my nose out.

Trivia: the bomb was going to show up when you unlocked a cancelled minigame. You will never see this screen without hacking!Originally this was going to be a secret area! Sabretrout was right, this should have been a main dungeon really. Or maybe that would have gotten in the way of what it was. Hm.

Cloud Castle 2 : Scarab

Original description

After the events of the first game, Dink finds himself in the desert prison of Salamak. He, along with Alessa and Fabian, must defeat the nefarious S Club 7, contend with the elusive Scarab Man, and travel to the Temple of the Ancients to do battle with Jamiel, a mighty Ancient.

Oh yeah, and get out of the prison!

Accurate description

Dink Smallwood is somehow still alive and conveniently trapped in the jolly desert prison of Salamak. Now he has to escape without getting eaten by scarab beetles that look suspiciously like woodlice. Also featuring hilarious comedy villains the Scarab 7. Or S Club 7 as we fell into the habit of calling them. Did we really start planning this that long ago?

Notes

The main villains you face during the game have literally nothing to do with the storyline. This was really funny to us while we were making it, but it's probably just confusing to any poor souls who're actually playing it. Still, people seemed to like it!

Cloud Castle 3 : War of the Ancients

(old working title, may not reflect plot)

It's kind of crummy that I haven't been helping to finish this off. I think the major problem is that this was intended to be the major epic of the trilogy, which we kind of accidentally already did with CC2. Maybe we should just make this one a romp, heh.

Is there any CC3 news yet?

Neil Troughton made this so fook orf
